Project Manager Transaction Support recruitment
In this role you will manage and lead financial accounting related aspects of Zurich Insurance Group MA and treasury transactions or in respect of internal restructuring. You will closely cooperate with transaction sponsors and other specialist functions to ensure the transactions are being assessed and monitored to deliver an early understanding of financial implications. Further you will manage vendor or purchaser financial due diligence, review of sale and purchase agreements, financial risk, mitigation and impact analysis, IFRS valuations and prepare the Zurich Insurance Group accounting treatment of transactions. You will ensure that the appropriate financial reporting is consistently represented. We will count on you to communicate issues on a timely basis to transaction initiators and the Group Controller as well as to provide related presentations to the management reflecting all identified financial issues and correct accounting treatment. Under own responsibility you will ensure that the appropriate legal Zurich Insurance Group disclosure is complete and correct.
To your university degree in economics, finance or business administration you should add a post-graduate financial or accounting education such as ACA, CPA, CFA or similar. Further essential assets are 4 to 8 years of experience in transaction services / MA, accounting for transactions in an IFRS / US GAAP environment, ideally insurance industry and proficient written and spoken English, with other languages being an advantage. You will profit from good knowledge of transaction process steps, financial, legal and accounting focus points, IFRS, US GAAP, other related GAAP, understanding of business drivers in the insurance industry or other financial services and accounting and finance in the financial services industry. We expect a resilient, pro-active and credible personality with strong interpersonal, relationship management and analytical skills, a pronounced focus on customer, time and results and with accurate, persistent and efficient working methods.
