It's an exciting time at NYU Langone Medical Center. We are in the midst of a major transformation of our healthcare systems and are currently implementing the Epic Integrated Enterprise-wide software suite of products in multiple phases over the course of the next several years. When complete, the implementation will lead to a safer healthcare environment and empower patients with better access to physicians and their own medical information. It will also provide better opportunities for the people who are part of the project - including the passionate, detail-oriented Project Manager that we are now seeking.
Project Manager
We're looking for an experienced take-charge Project Manager who can effectively manage timelines and resources for a large complex implementation with many moving parts using a variety of tools and methodologies. This will include overseeing project communication strategies; quality, performance and usage metrics; and all internal reporting. Additionally, you will work with other managers and team members to ensure tasks are clearly defined and completed on schedule, and that issues are logged and resolved in a timely fashion.
The individual we seek must be a highly competent, productive and effective PMP-certified project manager with at least 4 years of project management experience in a healthcare environment. A proven background in managing to timelines - including the ability to prioritize, resolve conflicts, lead meetings and manage resources - is essential. Strong process design experience, a background working with Project Management tools, and effective change management, communication and interpersonal skills are also required along with a bachelor's degree. An MBA and EMR implementation experience are strong pluses.
