Property Construction Loss Adjuster
Full Job Description
Our client is looking for a ConstructionLoss Adjuster to assist - handle a portfolio of construction- risk claims based in the UK. Construction will be new building developments, oil refineries, bridges, tunnels, railways and other critical infrastructure projects through to the construction of the iconic buildings around the world. You will typically liaise with brokers, policyholders third parties, reporting directly into the Branch Manager. Your main duties will include:
- Responsibility for the management of you own claims from cradle to grave- Investigate and resolve in a professional manner with minimum leakage.
- Appointment of relevant parties to ensure that the claim is dealt with in accordance to the nature of the claim, alongside the best interests of the client.
- Ensure that reserves are agreed with accuracy in correspondence to company policy and personal authority limit, are maintained vigilantly and kept up to date.
- Support relationship developments with internal and external parties to enable the claims function to fully support their needs.
- Provide active support to management in the development of new best practises in line with strategy
You must have previous experience with construction claims and therefore understand the damages- consequences of new construction. Furthermore you will be knowledgeable of the methods-processes to alleviate construction and risk claims. Initially you will be based in London and cover the UK, however longer term there will be the opportunity to travel. You will have a sound technical knowledge ofConstruction Claims and preferably be CILA or CII- DIP CII - ACII qualified.
The successful candidate will be able to use their own initiative in order to resolve complaints or queries and have excellent communicative and customer service skills.
