Our client is a private investment group focused on international property markets. They form a distinct group of companies undertaking everything from residential development, investment, sales and marketing of projects, provision of financing to third parties, as well as having their own portfolio of residential properties across the UK. A unique opportunity has now arisen for a Property Research Analyst / Project Support Analyst to join their Mezzanine Development Finance Lending Team.
If you have experience within the residential property sector and superb analytical skills, this is the ideal role to gain extensive experience in all aspects of residential property development and finance.
In this key position, you will get involved with finance modelling, appraisal support, sales analysis, research support, as well as monitoring projects.
You'll be providing analysis on development projects, preparing investment memorandums and liaising with professionals, such as lawyers and bank managers, and as such, you'll need a good head for figures, expert modelling skills and first class report writing abilities.
Whilst predominantly office based, as a Property Research Analyst / Project Support Analyst, you will be required to conduct monthly visits to existing development sites.
Your duties will include:
- Assisting with building project appraisals for the credit committee
- Conducting research into locations and providing recommendations for investment suitability
- Assisting in due diligence for projects
- Analysing development costs against budget, progress and plan
- Producing monthly progress reports for existing development projects
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Experience within the residential property sector
- A strong understanding of the residential development process, including acquisition, legal processes, planning, finance and sales perspectives
- Good knowledge of the build process, including construction procurement and cost management
- Expert modelling and analytical skills
As a Property Research Analyst / Project Support Analyst, you'll also need excellent mathematic and numerical skills. Equally important are your strong presentation and report writing abilities.
A RICS qualification would be beneficial, but this is by no means essential.
