Specific Job Description Within Business Development: - Lead the execution of ATL? s Proposal Process for the business?s highest-priority proposals, which includes leading up-front story-telling, including win themes and innovative claims, editing, and coordination of graphics and production. - Maintain in-progress status of proposal activity and assemble post-mortem internal evaluation of ATL?s proposal development performance; Conduct lessons learned activity not more than two weeks following proposal submissions. Participate in New Business Development Council meetings - Work with ATL Lab business development representatives to track potential proposal efforts - Attend Business Development Staff Meetings Across the Advanced Technology Laboratories: - Convey the value and utility of executing ATL?s proposal process for the production of high-quality proposals - Conduct Just-in-Time proposal training as required - Lead the coordination and collaboration of contributions across ATL Labs when required for proposals - Assist in all administrative aspects of proposals?scheduling, coordination of reviews, etc. Additional Proposal-Related Responsibilities: - Participate as needed in the LM ATL Learning Council to identify/coordinate proposal-related training requirements - Develop Just In Time proposal training curriculum - Maintain and add to Proposal Resource Library - Institute/Maintain Lessons-Learned program - Populate Business Development metrics database with proposal performance metrics and represent assessment at New Business Development Council Meetings Why Would Candidate Be Interested In This Position? ? Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications. Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments. Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts. Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings. Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives. Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.
