Propulsion Nacelle and Systems Design Engineer Entry Level

Location Everett, WA;Renton, WA Security Clearance Required? No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description Supports definition of requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems, nacelle actuation systems and nacelle design (i.e. Inlet, Nozzle, Thrust Reverser, exhaust, etc.). Assists to define, coordinate and control the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the airplane. Assists in developing specifications for associated airplane systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements. Develops and documents configurations and designs of propulsion sub-systems and components. Assists in using various testing, modeling and simulation methods to estimate or improve system performance (weight, cost, producibility). Assists in support of certification tests for propulsion sub-systems and components. Assists in supporting fielded systems to assure continued reliability and airworthiness. Supports development of concepts for future propulsion systems to meet anticipated requirements. Works under close supervision. Basic Qualifications For Consideration Are you interested in mechanical design? Do you meet the criteria described in the Typical Education / Experience section of this requisition? Typical Education/Experience Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Other Job related information Prefers Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering degree.
