Protection Products – Sales Adviser, Corporates recruitment
Purpose of role
Working within the Corporate Financial Planning pillar, these individuals will be known as Corporate Protection Advisors. Thier focus will be to deliver effective and compliant customer sales and servicing to corporate customers working collaboratively with Corporate bankers and more Hollistic Wealth Advisors.
You will advise our corporate clients and provide a world class range of corporate solutions to their business continuity and succession planning needs, and products including Loan Protection, Keyperson Protection, Shareholder and Partnership Protection. This excludes the provision of personal financial planning advice.
Core accountabilities
- Proactively acquiring profitable new business and increase client market share in line with individual and team targets.
- Providing well researched and appropriate financial advice, service and products to corporates, in accordance with set procedures, to ensure that customers receive an exceptional quality of service.
- Maintaining relationships with existing customers and introducers in order to proactively anticipate and address future customer needs and building deep client relationships with a reputation for integrity with the ability to evoke trust and openness in clients, colleagues and intermediaries.
- Identifying broader sales opportunities and referring them to the apporpriate teams
- Managing, and where appropriate escalating, customer queries, complaints and feedback effectively, to achieve the best possible outcome for the customer.
- Proactively developing the necessary knowledge and skills needed to achieve successful delivery and provide accurate and current advice and appropriate support to customers and colleagues.
- Personally complying with all regulatory issues and promoting a compliance culture. Ensuring all personal records in relation to FSA approved persons, performance review, training and competency issues are kept up to date.
Professional/technical experience
- Financial Services industry experience in regulated corporate products and services to SMEs, Large Corporates and entrepreneurs.
- Experience of generating new client revenue streams whilst maintaining existing client relationships and revenue targets.
- Experience of identifying opportunities of new business to maximise broader team revenue targets.
- Experience of leveraging internal and external networks to raise profile of available product suite and increase penetration level of distribution channels.
Knowledge and understanding
Extensive technical and product knowledge of corporate financial planning focusing primarily on protection in the UK corporate client market. This is a corporate focused role and does not include personal financial planning advice. Ideally you will have dealt with a client base with c. £5-50 million turnover.
Academic and professional qualifications
QCF Level 4, Advanced financial planning examinations or Diploma in Financial Planning preferred, minimum requirement QCF Level 3 plus ability to reach Level 4 within 12 months.
