Visiting Nurse Service - New York
Description
Responsible for providing direct psychosocial services to mentally ill adults and/or children in the community who are experiencing psychiatric and/or psychosocial difficulties. Provides assessment, referrals and linkages to appropriate service providers. Provides information and consultation to other community agencies and disciplines, including other services of the Agency. Assists in the overall functioning of the Program. Works under general supervision.
Skills
Licensure: Valid drivers license is required along with access to a vehicle. Current registration to practice as a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State required.
Education: Masters degree in Social Work or related field required. Masters degree in Social Work preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year as a social service provider with clients in a mental health setting required. Bilingual skills may be required, as determined by operational needs.
