Public Health Nurse II Job in Waukesha 53188, Wisconsin US

Waukesha County has 2 regular full-time public health nurse positions available to respond to public health needs of high-risk Communicable Disease, emerging public health events and Maternal Child Health clients of all ages.

Waukesha County is located in the Southeast corner of Wisconsin, next to the Milwaukee Metropolitan area, two hours northwest of Chicago, 30 minutes from downtown Milwaukee and approximately one hour from Madison.  The county population is 360,000.  Waukesha County is one of the fastest growing counties in Wisconsin.

Position hours are primarily 1st shift; Monday through Friday.  However some evening hours required.  On occasion, some public health crisis work may require rescheduling time.

Duties may include physical health assessments, communicable disease or pregnancy case follow up or investigations, clinic assignments and/or immunization.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a current license to practice as a registered nurse in Wisconsin.

Salary range: $24.65 - $30.26 per hour plus excellent benefit package.

Prefer:  Bilingual (English/Spanish) verbal/written communication skills.
