Advantage Professional are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Supervisor for a thriving business who are based in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent candidate to join a well respected company who have proved to be recession proof in the last few years.
Joining a large team you will be responsible for the:
- Producing the weekly payment runs by BACS, CHAPS, cheques, multi currency and domestic payments
- Production of weekly and period end statement reconciliation and reports
- Mentoring and supervising the teams workload, setting targets, ensuring they reach the deadlines and motivating the team
- Liaise with suppliers, handle and resolve any queries
- Month end reporting
You will be an experienced purchase ledger clerk who has some previous staff management or supervisory skills. You will be used to working in a large finance function, preferably within a shared service centre environment. You will have been involved in the full purchase ledger from processing invoices, through to supplier statement reconciliations and making large volume and high value payments on a regular basis. You will be an effective team player who is engaging, creative and an ideas person who likes to put forward their thoughts on improving processes and standards. You will be used to working in a KPI environment and be target driven. Excellent time management skills are essential, and have a positive and enthusiastic manner who likes to succeed and prides themselves on having high standards.
