PURCHASE LEDGER TEAM LEADER

PREVIOUS PEOPLE MANAGEMENT IS ESSENTIAL ALONG WITH RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Team Supervision

· Supervise the Purchase Ledger team, providing support and guidance as required
· Monitor team performance against agreed objectives, taking actions to improve individual performance as necessary
· Day to day allocation of work

Operations Management
· Ensure unallocated payments are kept to a minimum
· Liaise with Master Data team to ensure timely set up of new vendors and amendment of existing vendor data
· Ensure supplier invoices are processed and paid accurately and on a timely basis
· Resolution of both internal and external supplier queries in a timely manner
· Ensure supplier statement reconciliations are carried out in a timely manner
· Build positive working relationships with internal customer groups and key vendors· Contribute to process improvement initiatives
· Monitoring of team performance against agreed KPI’s
· Month end and year end activities

Core Skills Experience required:

· Experience of leading teams in a process based environment
· Strong Customer 1st focus
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to drive excellence within the team
· Process orientated mindset
· Good working knowledge of Excel
· Part qualified accountant or AAT qualification preferred
