Purchasing & Materials Manager Job in Saffron Walden Cb10 2Ax, Anglia Uk
Our client has been established for fifteen years and is now seeking an experienced Purchasing and Materials Manager to undertake a new, exciting role within the company.
You will be a fundamental part of the team with the responsibility of organising, planning and managing purchases in line with customer expectations and due date performance.
You will also be responsible for the following:
- Developing and managing the company purchasing strategy to improve scheduled ordering
- Managing the schedule of procurement of goods for manufacturing customer orders
- Managing stock levels
- Data entry and using the MRP system for customer orders
- Form excellent working relationships with suppliers
- Implement ways to reduce overall costs
We are looking to recruit a candidate that can display the following skills and experience:
- Purchasing and materials management background
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft office and ideally have experience of a manufacturing system
- Knowledge of MRP system (Preferably Match IT)
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to improve upon procedures to ensure a smooth running of the department
It is essential that you have your own transport due to location of company.
