QA Officer X 2 Job
Our client is a leading WA based design and construction firm who has built a reputation over the last 35 years for successfully designing and constructing bulk storage facilities process plant and Non Process Infrastructure projects.
The business is respected amongst the Major EPCM projects specialists in mine site infrastructure material handling systems their success is indicative of their long term relationships with clients, which has now resulted in exciting new projects being awarded .
Two opportunities for Quality Advisors and coordinators are available to join this trusted and progressive family business leading on site personnel or in Perth establishing inspection test plans and field inspection checklists/ reviewing quality assurance management and project specifications.
The positions report to a long standing and respected Quality Manager and you will play an integral part of the construction process and provide leadership in the application of project quality activities to align with client and internal policies. The scope of work will be challenging and diverse, providing a rewarding project to deploy your skills and experience on.

Working South of Perth or on Site the ideal candidates will have evolved from a trade background and have gained exposure to multi disciplinary construction industry experience
For site your key responsibilities will be Field supervision, planning, quality monitoring, coordination, construction management and:
- The ability to ensure the execution of all quality documents (Test plans, Field Checklists, Records Certificates and maintain interface with project team and quality personal is critical
- Your accountabilities will extend into Interface with offsite fabrication manager(s) and team members to implement and coordinate the applicable procedures and plans being applied to the works for example
- Undertake regular inspections of works completed by contractors and authorise corrective action when required
- Reviewing Weld procedures inspection test plans
- Field inspection checklists and reviewing quality assurance management plans

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a QAQC role
- Trades background with 5 years multidisciplinary construction experience or Engineering Degree
- Sound knowledge of Construction (Electrical/Civil/Piping)
- A proven track record working on large scale projects
- A proven track record of delivering on projects.
- Well-developed interpersonal/communication skills including report writing
- Be able to work in harsh environments
- An ability to adapt to the various internal procedures of the contracting party
- Be able to liaise with clients on all levels.
