Position overview:
A new role has come up for a QA Testing Manager in the Wealth Management department of this leading EU Investment bank.
Applicants MUST have previous Test Management Experience directly with a bank and MUST also have previous experience of testing in a SAP environment.
Job Details:
The Quality Assurance and Testing Manager defines and manages the team to execute testing strategies, deliverables, methodologies, and process for testing the Bank’s products.
The QA Testing Manager leads all aspects of testing for software development, including software testing through all stages of the system development lifecycle, automated testing, creation and deployment of best practices, and configuration and project management.
QA Testing Managers lead teams to define and execute testing of software, data, hardware or process prior to release into a live environment.
Job responsibilities:
SDLC Test Management:
- Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance to Data Environment Coordinator, Testing Specialists and Testing Analysts.
- Responsibility for development of the end- to-end testing process.
- Lead team to develop detailed test strategies and plans for applications based on technical and business specifications in accordance with standards.
- Works with Testing Specialists to review and understand business requirements and functional specifications.
- Work with Business/Program Head to gain agreement on test plans and strategy.
- Lead effort to test and analyze each component/phase of the systems development life cycle including the project requirements, design and programs.
- Resource to deliver against the agreed test plan within budget and timeframes.
- Ensure adherence to testing best practices and testing standards.
- Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance to Testing Specialists.
- Oversee effort to retest corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
- Oversee effort to document and communicate results.
- Analyze test results and measuring of KPI’s against defined quality criteria.
- Insure all Test Deliverables are completed including Test Approach, Scenarios, Conditions Expected Results, Test Cycle Control Sheet, Test Scripts.
- Collaborates with other project leads to minimize testing inter-dependency issues and agree to migration to live environment.
Candidate requirements:
- Significant experience in Testing roles (and/or leading testing teams) on software development or IT-related projects
- Experience testing in SAP environment
- Experience in test automation using QTP or Greenhat
- Customer and service orientation to support interaction with team resources and clients
- Performance and productivity oriented to drive quality testing outcomes and results within DB Testing practice
- Proven experience with IT Risk Management and Control policies and procedures
- Previous experience working effectively in globally diverse teams and matrixed organizations
- Demonstrated ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results.
- Participation and/or completion in Testing certification programs (Six Sigma, CQSA, CSTE
or CSTP)
