Job Title: QA Testing Lead

Overview:

The QA Testing Manager will drive the hands on execution of the test strategy and plan, including the test preparation, execution, analysis and reporting activities.

The QA Testing Manager will work alongside various project stakeholders to ensure that specific streams of work are progressing, provide guidance by example and act as an escalation point for the QA Testing Analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Specific tasks around planning, preparation, execution, analysis and reporting

* Manage and plan E2E QA strategy for the migrations project.

* Work with the Analysts to ensure requirements are clear and understood from a testing perspective.

* Analysis of business requirements/functional specifications and defining business test scenarios.

* Drive the testing strategy for the new Exotics platform.

* Plan, arrange and control QA test cycles on a day to day basis.

* Validate Risk Numbers and create reconciliation reports for user/business sign off.

* Producing Risk reports to Business for Sign off.

* Ownership and control of UAT environments.

* Ensure that testing activities are being conducted in accordance to the testing strategy and plan

* Ensure that test packs are maintained and have incorporated any specific tests that have been identified following a production incident

* Maintain project documentation *Provide an escalation point for test analysts

* Ensure that risks and issues are recorded and escalated as appropriate

* Work with Testing Specialists to deliver the testing strategy and plan goals

* Ensure adherence to testing best practices and DB testing standards.

* Ensure the timely reporting and classification of defects

* Lead the effort to document and communicate results.

* Analyze test results and measuring of KPI's against defined quality criteria

* Coordinate with all team members, including 3rd party suppliers

* Collaborate with other project leads to minimize testing inter-dependency issues and agree to migration to live environment

* Champion and participate in the activities of the broader QA and Testing community

* Align to the wider team / group objectives

* Provide mentoring to team members

People Management

You will have:

* Proven experience in Testing roles and/or leading testing teams

* Experience leading the testing on the Equities Derivative Migration (which is migration the Equity Derivative flow business to a new Risk and Pnl Platform).

* Experience working with an Equity Derivatives system and need to be able to manage and plan the testing,

* Experience managing a team.

* Knowledge on Risk as you would be validating risk numbers and creating reconciliation reports to get business sign off

* Technology knowledge and expertise

* Experience of test management and defect tracking tools

* Experience of planning and executing testing across projects

* Understanding of testing across the full Software Development lifecycle

* Customer and service orientation to support interaction with team resources and clients

* Performance and productivity oriented to drive toward quality testing outcomes and results

* Previous program and project management experience

* Proven experience with Risk Management and Control policies and procedures

* Proactively, initiate, develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members

* Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people and achieve results

* Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university ideally with an IT-related concentration (or equivalent diploma/work experience)

* Participation and/or completion in Testing certification programs (Six Sigma, CSTE, ISTQB, ISEB or CSTP)
