Qualified Accountant – Debt Funds
The Position
Due to continued growth, our client, a well established financial services firm with operations worldwide, has a rare vacancy for a Qualified Accountant to join their Debt funds team in Luxembourg. Reporting into the Team Leader, you will have full responsibility for the preparation of full-cycle accounts for a large portfolio of debt funds. These funds are invested in both leveraged and unleveraged portfolios covering:
- Real estate debt
- Mid-market mezzanine LBO and corporate loans
- Non-performing secured and unsecured bank loans
- Infrastructure debt
- CDS and structured debt
You will also be preparing accounts for SPVs which issue debt including:
- Structured credit EMTN Programmes
- Tier 1 capital issuance entities
- Corporate finance subsidiary entities
Your Profile
Ideally, you will have 2-3 years post qualification experience (ACCA/CA/ACA). If you have strong debt fund accounting experience, the client will consider profiles with less experience on a case by case basis. Ideally, you will have strong IFRS knowledge as well as a strong record of academic achievement. Strong interpersonal skills are a must as you will be liaising directly with clients on a regular basis. Supervisory or management experience is desirable but not essential. The client will give preference to candidates who are currently based in or close to Luxembourg. Fluent English is a must. Those who are bi-lingual in English and French/German will be at a distinct advantage.
