Qualified DCM Lawyer – Capital Markets, Asian Bank recruitment
As part of the healthy expansion in Asia, our client has created a new position within its Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team under the Investment Bank for a Singapore qualified Capital Markets lawyer to join the team as Transaction Manager.
This is a good opportunity for DCM lawyers to go inhouse and be part of the exciting Investment Banking team. In this new role, you will work closely with the DCM team to coordinate, provide advice and assistance and negotiate on legal and transactional issues as they arise during execution. Role does not sit under the Legal team.
Your scope will include but not limited to,
-managing MTN establishments and updates, syndicated drawdowns and standalone bonds including hybrid and high yield transactions, liability management and securitisations.
-closely involved in reviewing and negotiating documentation, including legal opinions and auditors' comfort letters.
- oversee the execution process and coordinate the various teams involved with deal execution, including external counsel, the issuer's execution team and the settlements team.
- provide legal input on non-transactional matters, including regulatory and other market practice developments.
Qualifications Criteria
- A good law degree from a top law school
- At least 3-8 years of working experience in DCM transaction management or DCM legal work either in a Singapore based law firm or with an investment bank with a good trackrecord in covering regional DCM deals out of Singapore
- Possess good knowledge of MTN prospectuses,Singaporeand144A/Reg S capital markets regulations
- Ability to work well in a team and under tight timelines
- Mandarin is needed
