Quality Assurance Analyst recruitment
The Role / Responsibilities:
The role will provide extensive exposure to the credit risk environment and would suit a highly motivated and skilled Quality Assurance Analyst interested in a role that requires excellent communication skills.
- Acquire understanding of customization projects based on project documentation and participation in project meetings and planning
- Create systematic test plans and test scripts from functional specifications
- Create and manage test data and assemble test cases
- Lead the QA effort for one or more projects
- Coordinate the efforts of QA staff members offshore who will work to your plans and scripts
- Perform QA tasks and review and collate results from QA colleagues for project managers and developers
- Use defect tracking software to maintain accurate descriptions of issues, and maintain records of reported and resolved issues
- Provide project managers with timely and accurate QA status and progress during all testing phases of projects
- Summarize and document QA results at project conclusion
- Prepare client-ready QA documentation and test reports
- Communicate directly with clients in order to duplicate reported issues and communicate the QA status for a project
- Contribute to initiatives to improve the overall QA process
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, information Systems, Computer Science or relevant experience
• Knowledge of QA methodologies that cover regression testing, ad hoc testing, functional testing and verification of calculations, user interface testing, and integration testing
• Knowledge of virtual machine configuration and management
• Working knowledge of MS SQL Server and Oracle databases sufficient to create databases, run SQL scripts, and perform straightforward queries
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Access
• Use of spreadsheets to perform calculations and ability to use Excel-based prototypes for test purposes
• Previous experience of professional work experience in QA or a related field.
• Experience with defect tracking software particularly Rally.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle preferably within a financial institution or financial software organization related to commercial credit risk assessment
• Experience with automated testing tools is advantageous
• Familiarity with accounting standards such as UK GAAP and IFRS is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including good presentation skills
• Strong track record of excellent results delivered to internal or external clients
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, yet integrate appropriately with the team and other groups within Moody’s
• Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines in a changing environment
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels, with both internal and external parties
The Department / Team
The Implementation Services team delivers consultative services that ultimately result in the delivery of custom solutions that are based on Moody’s Analytics’ credit risk assessment software. Our software is used extensively by commercial banks, other private sector financial institutions, and governmental organizations throughout the world.
Our projects include financial and risk rating model customization, design and development of custom software components including workflow components, product migration and upgrades, software integration, data conversion and import, and client training.
