Quality Assurance Business Analyst/IT
- Design and implement quality assurance processes in order to increase software quality of Asset Management applications
- Establish an End to End testing landscape for Asset Management
- Delivery of high quality software solutions by active testing support of projects within the Asset Management Enabling Program
Responsible for establishing and managing software quality assurance processes for Asset Management ensuring all stakeholders are involved and responsibilities are clarified. Ensure that key controls will be developed together with Asset Management Application Owners and approved by the stakeholders (located in Zurich, London and New York) according to internal Quality Risk methodology and tools.
Quality Assurance Responsibilities
- Actively support setting up a Quality Assurance Unit for Asset Management
- Define and document Quality Assurance best practices including continues improvement and change management processes
- Definition and recurrent measurement of software quality KPIs
- Setup of a shared communication, monitoring and presentation platform for Quality Assurance and all stakeholders
- Support Asset Management projects in the Swiss Re SQA process
- Train stakeholders in Quality Assurance methodology and tools
- Creation of standard project deliverables and training material
Test Management Task for several projects
- Act as a key contact within Asset Management for all testing related questions
- Facilitate and partly support test management for projects, oversee all test activities and inform project managers about the level of software quality
- Test coordination with Business Experts (UAT or Business Expert Testing)
- Ensure that all the test teams within Asset Management follow the testing standards
Test management tasks with our offshore partners
- Defining test strategy and comprehensive test plans for each test phase in the test process together with our external partners
- Act as interface between Swiss Re testing services and Asset Management projects. Consult projects in setting up automated testing services
- Capacity planning of the testing team together with the onsite coordinator
- Ensure defect management, tracking, prioritization and resolution through test tool
- Open to work with different cultures
- Close interaction with Release, Project and Application managers
- Interaction with business representatives to organize user acceptance test and get the user sign off
- Interaction with our external partner in the testing area. Work with our onsite coordinators
Representation activities
- Representation of the QA activities within the Asset Management EP
Decision making level
Supports release and project managers in taking the decision if a QA approach is acceptable and an application release is ready for rollout.
The success will be measured through the performance manager. The measurement criteria's will be determined on the personal- and the team level.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a consulting and Quality Assurance environment
- Financial Services/Asset Management experience required
- Experience of hands-on testing in a complex environment
- Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders and external partners
- Experience of developing and executing test strategies, test plans and test cases
- Experience of producing clear and meaningful test reporting
- Excellent command of English
- Certified Test foundation- or advanced level would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong command of English language with German as an added plus
