EMEA – Head of Marketing recruitment

Our client one of the words top Asset Management firms and a premier provider of global investment management, risk management and advisory services is on the search for an experienced EMEA Head of Marketing to join their EMEA Retail Business for 6+ months starting ASAP.Role description:The role requires a strategic, experienced marketer who will be responsible for driving and developing marketing strategy and campaigns across markets, client channels and products within the EMEA Retail business as well as promoting and defending the brand. The successful candidate will lead and motivate the Retail Marketing team both in London and in the offices across Europe, made up of channel marketers as well as the Retail investment communications team.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the EMEA Retail Marketing team, developing and implementing a unified marketing vision for the EMEA region.

Consult and regularly communicate with the Head of EMEA Retail, COO of EMEA Retail, the joint Heads of EMEA Retail Sales, the Country Heads and local market Retail Sales Heads on the priorities and messaging. Play an active role in executive and operations committees for both EMEA Retail and EMEA Marketing.

Create and execute marketing campaigns in line with EMEA Retail strategy across the complete marketing mix including thought leadership and collateral, online, multi-media, events, DM and advertising among others. Draw on the specialist functional teams within the broader EMEA and Global Marketing group to deliver effective campaigns, in addition to the Corporate Communications team.

Lead, manage, train and develop a team of London-based and in-country marketers, including Channel-specific strategic marketers and Retail Investment and Fund Communications.

Promote, protect and raise awareness of the brand across the region, including delivering and measuring the effectiveness of brand campaigns.

Be responsible for developing communications and messaging for the Luxembourg and UK fund umbrellas, tailored to asset allocators as well as Financial Advisers and their clients. Ensure the team delivers on-going quarterly/monthly updates to materials, tools and online content as well as opinion pieces and macro views for use with clients and the media.

Set, coordinate and report on the EMEA Retail marketing budgets, in tandem with the in-country marketers.

Skills and experience required:

Financial Services experience is must for this role.

Extensive marketing experience in a pan regional role

Proven experience in working in asset management, especially the retail sector

Strategic and creative thinker with attention to detail and delivery focus

Strong verbal and written communications

Proven leadership and management skills

Strong investment knowledge (IMC preferable)

Project management skills, including an ability to move projects forward in a complex environment requiring consultation with multiple stakeholders

Ability to liaise with senior management to drive and communicate strategy

Ability to work effectively in a team environment – adaptable and reliable with a strong ‘can do attitude’

Enjoyment in operating in a fast-paced culture with flexibility to change strategy and project plans

A proven track record of professional and personal achievement

Degree in a relevant discipline, ideally with an MBA or honours

Marketing qualifications desirable

Fluency in a European language advantageous
