Quality Assurance Manager, Officer recruitment
This key individual will be required to assist the QA department in driving best practice across across the IFS fund accounting processes and procedures for hedge fund administration.
This is an ideal opportunity to work closely with other IFS departments and teams in a widely varied and challenging role and will help to further develop

- knowledge of best practices, new accounting and processing developments in the hedge fund industry
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
New Business
- Perform review fund governing document reviews as part of new business process
- Reviewing the first dealing NAV of all new IFS business
Fund Review ~ new and existing Funds
- Manage internal review process of new and existing funds completed by QA team
- Review and sign off on all fund reviews completed by team
- Managing fund review timeline
- Liasing with other business units throughout fund review process and final report issuance
- Assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of IFS accounting policies and procedures adopted by NAV and TA teams
- Ensures teams adhere to internal controls and procedures
Pricing
- Implementation and development of the IFS Pricing Controls and Procedures across IFS NAV teams.
Industry research
- Research and discussion with industry stakeholders relating to new fund accounting developments.
- Management of a Knowledge Centre / Help Desk for technical accounting queries.
- Respond to complex technical queries from other business units and senior management
- Help to continually assess and develop key fund accounting processes
Project work
- Working with NAV and TA teams to identify project needs arising from new accounting and Industry developments or process gaps.
- Implementation and delivery of fund accounting projects for QA and senior management.
Training
- Development and delivery of training programmes across IFS NAV and TA teams
Corporate Audit, Sox Testing and SAS 70
• Liaise as primary contact for external parties relying and/or reviewing IFS’ internal policies and procedures. In particular co-ordinating the timing and testing of audit reviews between external parties and internal parties across all IFS locations.

- Directly manage team, allocating work and ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are prioritised.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- Degree in Accounting or Finance or Business related area (minimum 2.2 honors degree)
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA qualified
- Minimum 4 years in a senior capacity within Financial Services
Skills/Knowledge
- Highly numerate
- IT literate
- Multi disciplined with strong project management skills
- Strong people management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform effectively within strict deadlines
