Quality Assurance Manager /QA / Test – web-based – leading Compliance firm
My client is one of the world’s leading compliance firms, providing web-based solutions to manage compliance risks globally. They are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Manager /QA /tester with web-based testing experience to join their growing team
Successful candidate will manage team members in different offices in addition to carrying out extensive hands-on testing work.
Job responsibilities:
Management:
- Manages the quality assurance team and overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources
- Ensures delivery against QA team goals and objectives: meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule
- Provides necessary definition, development and deployment of product quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development
- Provide status reports and analysis on testing results including recommendations for process improvement
Technical:
- Review functional specifications, create test cases, design documents and bug descriptions.
- Execute test cases and document results for test case execution
- Identify defects and log them into defect tracking tool.
- Verify fixes in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner
- Perform functional, regression and browser compatibility testing (IE, FireFox)
- Utilizes effective time management skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Responsible for ensuring that the software meets client expectations and client satisfaction
- Suggest and help implement process improvements both within the QA group and throughout the company
A successful candidate must have:
- Minimum 4 years Software Quality Assurance experience
- Web-based testing experience is essential (PHP/JQuery/Javascript/CSS/MySQL)
- Familiarity with cross-platform, multi-browser issues
- Extensive experience developing and executing comprehensive test suites
- Knowledge of functional testing is required
- Experience with automated software testing tools, especially QTP, is desirable
- Good communication, leadership and problem solving skills.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English
