The QC Manager will manage the Quality Assurance to achieve consistency in processes and product, reduce waste and downtime, and implement new equipment and procedures for continuous improvement.

This position requires extensive independent thinking with regards to establishing process controls, conducting complaint analysis, managing technical personnel, setting priorities and issuing and following up directives to production management. This position's challenge of problem solving is governed by the company's established policies and procedures as well as sound management practices. We are looking for someone with the motivation for upward growth in Management. Also willing to experience a change in management. Experience with ISO 9001 is a plus. The individual should have experience with customer relations. Knowledge to handle quality concerns and writing up action plans.

Minimum level is a Bachelor's degree in a technical or science discipline with 7-10 years experience in a related management position. A thorough knowledge of quality and process controls, including SPC principles, is required.

Mental agility is required for this position as sound management skills are used. It requires an ability to prioritize tasks depending on a multitude of variables. Most work assignments dictate time management skills. This position does require occasional travel, often with very short notice.

Qualifications:

30% Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the quality and process engineering departments' activities and development.

15% Produce product complaint analysis and bring resolution to customer satisfaction.

15% Audit and review compliance to process controls, including taking corrective action when required and making modifications when needed.

15% Prepare and adhere to departmental and plant operating budgets.

15% Provide technical assistance to production.

10% Visiting and hosting vendors and customers.
