At our Lenexa site we manufacture and assemble a wide selection of galley insert equipment including coffee and espresso makers, water boilers and liquid containers, as well as passenger and crew oxygen storage and delivery systems. As a Quality Engineer you will plan and direct activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products by performing the following duties. Performs professional quality engineering assignments of considerable complexity under direction with considerable discretion as to work details. Designs, installs and continually evaluates complex quality assurance and/or control methods and systems. Designs fixtures and processes to insure the continuing maintenance of product quality; may conduct vendor visits to insure quality; analyzes reports and returned products to determine quality trends and recommends corrective action. May participate in materials review activities to determine material disposition. Develops standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods. May assign work to inspectors and technicians. Minimum Job Requirements: BS degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent conbination of education and experience Preferred Requirements : Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100, FAA regulations, part inspections and conformities, the proper use of inspection equipment, corrective/preventive actions, root cause analysis, internal auditing, and vendor quality surveliance is prefered. Supplier development and customer relations experience is very helpful Must have excellent communicationa nd problem solving skills Excellent internal/external customer service Ability to complete tasks/projects with minimal supervision Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment Required to work as an interface with high profile and demanding customers regarding the quality of B/E Aerospace products.
