Come grow with us...We have been adding to our Supplier Quality team and we need another Quality Engineer to help us to improve the quality performance of our suppliers globally to ensure a stable and robust Supply Chain to successfully meet and exceed our customer’s needs. This role would appeal to a Quality Engineer with a passion for supplier development and manufacturing who would like to make their mark and contribute to the building of a world class quality group.
ROLE OVERVIEW
- New and existing supplier development
- Driving Supplier quality development initiatives.
- Identifying and recommending continuous improvement opportunities to further improve the performance and efficiency of the Husky Global Supply Chain
- Leading and managing supplier assessments (audits)
- Evaluating suppliers’ quality performance by monitoring the quality inputs.
- Evaluating suppliers performance by monitoring the monthly scorecard based on overall performance
- Supporting the operations in the containment of supplier related non conformances and escalation
- Execution of part qualification
- Leading part qualification process
- Leading source inspection
- Leading supplier corrective actions.
- Service warranty
- Elevating proactive containment as required (recalls, safety alerts etc.)
- Leading supplier related shipped quality / warranty issues
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Post secondary education
Experience:
- 10 to 15 years related experience in both operational quality and supplier development
- Have driven down supplier defects and implemented programs that yield cost savings
- Have some Tier 1 supplier experience
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Part qualification
- Process capability cycle
- Root Cause analysis and Corrective action
- GDT
- technical experience with fluid power/hydraulics such as pumps, motors, cylinders
