Quality Engineer/AS9100 Auditor

This is a long term temporary position. AS9100 Auditor Audits and Surveillance Mission Assurance Space and Airborne Systems Description: Participate in internal and external AS9100 systems audits at El Segundo locations. Ensure Mission Assurance across all areas through compliance to company standards, program requirements, and processes for product development. Responsible for documenting and communicating noncompliance identified via audit activities. In addition, provides input with affected areas to non-compliances identified via internal, Government and custom audits. Also participate in leading projects and developing new processes related to the continuous improvement of the audit process. The position requires the ability to effectively partner and coordinate with business, program and functional leaders. Will require frequent contact with corporate counterparts, SAS leadership teams, and Government DCMA customer representatives. Required Skills: RABQSA certified and/or ASQ-CQA trained, strong knowledge of Quality management Systems in accordance with AS9100 and ISO 9001. Desired Skills: Able to effectively conduct and participate with an audit team to determine the audit scope, plan and schedule the audit, prepare audit checklists, conduct opening, daily and closing briefings, write clear and concise audit reports and personally communicate audit results to management. Highly proficient in communicating nonconformance issues discovered during the audit. Be able to effectively determine the impact and classification of nonconformance issues with the auditee, as well as communicate the requirements and responsibilities of the auditee to submit root cause analysis and an effective corrective action plan for the identified nonconformances. Highly experienced in the review, approval/disapproval of submitted root cause analysis and corrective action plans, as well as the verification, validation and closure of the corrective action plan. Experienced in maintaining audit data in Corrective Action Databases. Possess excellent oral and written communications skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
