The Quality Manager will be responsible for the following functions, including (but not limited to):
- Implementation of the quality system (TS 16949) throughout the plant.
- Determine and enforce through functional groups, quality and safety requirements in accordance with real company needs, based on current regulations and state of the art product development.
- Organize and promote company wide quality improvement efforts.
- Evaluate and develop improved techniques for control of quality reliability and safety.
- Directly responsible for implementation and maintenance of the company quality system, reporting on the performance of the quality system for review and as a basis for improvement of the quality system.
- Act as a liaison with external parties on matters relating to the quality system.
- Implementation and upkeep of the calibration system.
- Manage team of internal auditors.
- Assist Managers in the training of the employees on Quality standards and levels.
- Insure the follow up and resolution of any internal or external quality problems.
- Define and implement “customer indicators” to monitor the satisfaction level of the customer.
- Act as Management Representative and Voice of the Customer; communicate requirements to Operations.
- Must adhere to operate according to QS9000/TS16949/ISO14001.
Candidates should have the following qualifications and/or experience:
§ High school graduate or GED.
- At least 7-10 years experience in automotive quality.
- Good organizational and record keeping skills.
- Computer literacy with emphasis in: Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with all levels of organizational staff and customers: negotiating, problem solving, training, etc.
- Blue print, GDT, and SPC knowledge.
- Knowledge and experience with TS16949.
- Current Lead Auditor Certification a plus.
- Self motivated with good attendance.
