Alexander Black Recruitment is urgently looking for a Quant Trading Analyst to join our high profile client.

My client is as much a technology company as a trading company, and its success is based largely on its proprietary technology. They develop and employ proprietary software that automates liquidity provision and trade execution through a focused collaboration between traders and developers.

As an analyst you will be an algorithmic trader that thoroughly understands today's electronic markets. Typically, after a year of mentorship and training in trade floor operations, Trading Analysts are responsible for the operation, improvement, and ongoing design of the Company's automated trading strategies. As part of this role, Trading Analysts work closely with the Company's software engineers to perfect existing trading strategies and implement new strategies.

Job Qualifications

Candidates MUST have:

• Top 5 University PhD/BSc/MSc in Mathematics
• Excellent test scores and high academic marks are required.
• Proficiency in Excel and VBA is a plus.
• Ideally exposure to Linux
• Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
• Strong mathematical aptitude is required.
• No finance background is necessary. I am looking for bright analytical minds, with a focus on quantitative reasoning.
