Quantitative Analyst Overview:

The Quantitative Analyst will be part of the Corporate Audit Team.  In this role the Quantitative Analyst will provide subject matter expertise around evaluating various models employed in the Organizations.  The Quantitative Analyst will review model documentation, validate models and make recommendations. 

Quantitative Analyst Position Description:

The Quantitative Analyst will be part of Corporate Audit.  In this role the Quantitative Analyst would be a subject matter expert reviewing models.

The types of models which could be reviewed could include:  Anti-Money Laundering (AML), interest rate risk, market risk, QRM, VAR, credit risk, treasury pricing, foreign exchange, collateral coverage, etc.

The Quantitative Analyst will conduct independent validations of models used by Enterprise Risk Management, Treasury, Balance Sheet Management, Security Finance and State Street Global Advisors.

The incumbent will ensures that model data input, reporting, documentation, validation use best practices, adhere to consistency and quality standards, and follow the guidance of corporate policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.

The Quantitative Analyst  will present finding to management.

 

 

Quantitative Analyst Qualifications:

*Advanced degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics or a related field

*A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in a quantitative area

 *Experience with Capital Markets models, such as Portfolio Valuation (fixed income, loans, and derivate), Market Risk management, Asset Liability management, Mortgage or Asset-backed securities, and prepayment or loss modeling, QRM-BSM (Balance Sheet Management) experience or equivalent.
 

*Experience reviewing quantitative models for a financial institution

*Knowledge of a statistical or analytical modeling language such as SAS, Matlab, Stata, or S+

*Experience working with large and complex data sets

*Familiarity of quantitative risk management methodologies including VaR and stress testing

*Strong written and verbal communication skills

*Good project management skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently on complex projects

 *The candidate should be extremely focused, detail oriented, results oriented and highly productive.

 *CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or FRM (Financial Risk Manager), a plus.
