Quill Vertical Market Mgr-Lincolnshire, IL: # Position Summary This sales position will be driving and implementing the Education Public Sector Strategy within the QSD organization. Working with the Marketing, Merchandising and Finance business partners, The Manager Vertical Market-Quill Education/Public Sector will be the Quill education and public sector advocate bring continuous improvement mindset to all aspects of the business, measure and assess performance and collaborate with company resources. Developing and evolving the strategic account plan and be accountable for the sales plan's execution. Primary Responsibilities: - With direction from the Sales Director and input from the National Sales Managers, develops and executes Quill Education and Public Sector Sales Plan. Achieve Sales Growth and Operational excellence. Manage Key Expectations and Sales Strategy for Quill Education and Public Sector Sales teams. - Develop, Execute and coordinate Marketing/Merchandising Plans for Quill Education and Public Sector. Work with Marketing and Merchandising team to develop promo and seasonal materials/displays, as well as, specific vertical marketing collateral. - Develop and Execute Education/Public Sector New Business Growth Plan- - * Visits with key customer contacts including but not limited to Group Purchasing Organizations and other partners key to driving sales for Quill Education and Public Sector - Acts as primary customer interface responsible for the development of business and relationships with customers and senior management. - Interact with customers effectively through one-on-one meetings and professional presentations, negotiate effectively with customers, perform administrative follow-up internally to the company and with customers. * Attend regular meetings with business partners to analyze and improve results including; Sales, Workforce planning, and Service Improvement. Pro-actively identify operational gaps/areas of improvement and make recommendations for change. Qualifications Basic: - 8-10 years of related work experience. - Ability to develop and execute a high level selling strategy within the Educational sales market - Proven successful sales track record in the Educational sales industry - Sales Management Experience preferably in the Office Supply and/or Education Supply industry - Experience with partnering with Merchandising and Marketing departments in order to develop sales growth strategies - Previous responsibility for creating and executing complex selling strategies within specific industries such as education - Strong analytical expertise - Foster a sense of energy, ownership, and personal commitment to the work - Provide feedback, coaching, and guidance to enhance others skill development - Build collaboration by establishing, communicating, and reinforcing shared values - Seek diverse ideas and points of view to achieve business success - Communication Skill
