The Role:
The Rates business manager reporting to the global head of Fixed Income Core Product Management is responsible for building and developing Bloomberg’s core terminal offering for Rates. This includes bond analytics, price discovery functions, hedging and scenario functions as well as market monitors and analysis functions. The role involves working with sales, clients and industry bodies to define how we should develop our offering. Business managers are responsible for defining requirements, working with RD to build the product as well as training support staff and sales during implementation phases.

Main Duties and

Responsibilities:
-Drive the vision for the development of the platform.
-Define the requirements for new functionality.
-Build client and industry relationships within the market.
-Perform initial testing and beta testing with clients.
-Work with sales and support areas during functionality roll out.
-Overall escalation point for any issues with Bloomberg’s Rates offering.

Qualifications :
-A degree in Finance, Accountancy, Maths, or Economics is preferred.
-A minimum of 7 years market experience with an emphasis on the rates market.
-Experience in rates marketing and/or trading at a financial institution is strongly preferred.
-Experience with Treasuries and Futures product set.
-Strong project management skills.
-Existing market relationships and knowledge of the Bloomberg Professional terminal are preferred.
