Description:
REACH SPECIALIST
FAWLEY, HAMPSHIRE
Key Responsibilities:
The primary job function is to support and advise our business in order to achieve compliance with REACH. The ideal candidate is an experienced graduate in toxicology having extensive experience of European chemical regulatory affairs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The job requires versatility of experience and approach. The ideal person would be a lateral thinking yet focused on the problem in hand, would be practical, willing to learn and able to communicate. The candidate would also have a long-term commitment to the position and to personal development in the areas of regulatory affairs and toxicology.
Qualifications:
Degree in Toxicology (minimum BSc or equivalent, MSc preferred) with previous REACH experience.
Proactive, independent and able to work with a minimum of supervision
You will need commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills as you will regularly liaise to high levels with the regulatory authorities and consortia member organisations
Able to work effectively as part of a team with good communication skills, verbal and written
Proven project management and leadership skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Able to work on a variety of different projects at the same time
Good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications such as Access and Excel. Experience of a SAP is a plus
Design and monitoring of a range of mammalian studies
Coordination, management and preparation of dossiers for regulatory approval of chemical substances
Willingness to travel throughout Europe
Fluent English, any other European language is an asset
