Real Estate Finance – CMBS Credit Analyst

This European Structured Finance looks at transactions across four main asset classes: Asset Backed Securities, Residential Mortgage Backed Securities, Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities and Structured Credit. Maintaining surveillance on over 1,500 European structured finance transactions. This team is now seeking Credit Analyst at Associate Director Level to join the EMEA CMBS Team. The successful candidate will be part of a team of analysts rating commercial mortgage backed securitisations, both existing and new transactions.

Responsibilities:

Analysing transactions to provide high quality credit opinions.

Implementing appropriate credit modeling.

 On-site review of underwriting and servicing of transaction originators.

Undertaking on-site property inspections and reading property valuations reports.

Keeping abreast of developments in the European, and to some extent global, commercial property sector through a variety of sources.

On-site review of underwriting and servicing of transaction originators.

 Communicating rating rationale and state of the relevant property markets to investors and other market participants through press releases, reports, presentations and meetings.

Working with transaction arrangers, originators and lawyers.

Requirements:

This is a demanding and exciting role so we are looking for highly motivated candidates.

The successful candidate should have experience in real estate finance and keen interest in European commercial property; knowledge of securitisation structures and more broadly of fixed income instruments is also beneficial.

Candidates with relevant experience in asset management, commercial loan special servicing, valuation and loan origination would be at an advantage.

Be highly numerate and analytical, with advanced Excel skills.

Should be able to review and analyse legal contracts from a credit risk perspective.

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Other European languages are desirable.
