Real Estate Investment Manager seeks Top Tier German Asset Manager

OPPORTUNITY

Currently looking to source an Associate / Associate Director for the Portfolio Asset Management team, this position would be to report to the Managing Director Portfolio Asset Management. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic highly driven and motivated professional to join a market leader in the Real Estate space and play an important role in its growth. Whilst being a good team player, the candidate should also be a confident self-starter.

This team is involved throughout the life of an investment from acquisition, full responsibility for the management, letting and financial reporting through to eventual disposition.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with the Acquisitions team in the underwriting and due diligence of new investments

Assist in securing third party financing

Prepare asset level business plans and cash flow projections

Monitor investment performance through the review of monthly/quarterly property financial and operating statements

Keep senior colleagues informed of significant asset and portfolio events

Develop and implement asset leasing and sales marketing strategies

Analyse, negotiate and recommend leases for approval

Prepare thorough and timely quarterly asset management reports and asset reviews

Assist in annual property valuation process

Assist in preparing internal and external reports and presentations

Support asset sales and financings as required

Familiarity with tax and legal structures for holding investments

Understand the investment structure and the relationship between property performance and investment performance

Understand how to preserve and create value

Understand market, submarket and competitive set for assigned assets

Maximise operating performance, including minimising operating costs for responsible assets

Skills/Experience

Strong academic record

Five to seven years of direct real estate experience

Highly numerate with excellent analytical and financial modelling skills

OK to make effective decisions in response to changes in the market environment

Excellent knowledge of accounting fundamentals

Strong communication skills, both oral and written

IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel and real estate software packages such as Dyna and Argus

Strong language skills, fluent in German
