Real Estate Securities Analyst recruitment
As an analyst, you will work alongside Urdang portfolio managers and other analysts. You will eventually be assigned responsibility for maintaining research coverage of 20 to 30 real estate companies. You will make stock recommendations to the investment committee.
Responsibilities include:
- Macroeconomic real estate research.
- Analysis of public documents and SEC filings.
- Development and maintenance of valuation and risk management models.
- On-site property tours and inspections (typically after 6 months).
- Evaluation of management teams.
- Attending industry conferences.
- Other investment management projects.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1-2 years investment banking, sell-side research, buy-side, accounting, or other related experience.
- Ideal candidate will have one year of analyst experience.
- A strong academic background/undergrad degree in finance, accounting, or economics; minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher strongly preferred.
- Superior knowledge of excel required, including v-look up and modeling.
- A keen interest in real estate and the securities markets.
- Excellent written and information management skills.
- An outgoing, collaborative style with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- The ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments.
