Description

URDANG is an investor in and manager of public, private, global, and U.S. - only real estate investment strategies. Focused exclusively on real estate, our investment approach includes top-down market/country selection and bottom-up underwriting of properties, companies, and management teams.

The Senior Analyst is responsible for providing underwriting and due diligence support on property acquisitions, as well as, providing asset management support on the existing portfolio.The Senior Analyst will: screen new investment opportunities and determine suitability based on Urdang client guidelines; evaluate and develop cash flow projections utilizing Argus and Excel Software; review and analyze real estate financial and market information and general economic conditions to support assumptions utilized in making investment decisions; assist in the due diligence process for proposed acquisitions including financial and lease analysis, lease abstract reviews, determination of market rents; review of environmental, engineering and appraisal reports; prepare internal and external Investment Committee presentations; and assist in the closing and financing of new investments.The Senior Analyst will also formulate recommendations and action plans for existing investments; assist in the analysis and presentation of budgeting, business plan development, internal and external valuations, hold/sell analyses, and financing and disposition strategies; perform lease analysis; track occupancy at the property level; and maintain financial models for investments.The Senior Analyst will attend select seminars and real estate conferences to stay up to date on economic and industry developments and trends and incorporate the most up-to-date information into analyses. The Senior Analyst will undertake special projects as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate, financial services, or accounting. Bachelor's degree required, concentration in real estate strongly preferred; understanding of real estate and capital markets; exceptional quantitative underwriting skills, Excel and Argus experience required; and strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. The candidate must be a motivated, self starter able to work independently and within a small team environment. This position requires occasional travel for up to 5 consecutive nights.
