Real Estate Transaction Manager –
Position Description
This position will support all the Real Estate activities for the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business in the Midwest and Southern Region. The role will entail Real Estate support for the overall team in terms of portfolio planning, forecasting, lease negotiations, and process management.
Key responsibilities include: managing the acquisition, and disposition of all leases within the organization's Midwest and Southern Regions portfolio to support business operations and overall strategies. The Real Estate Transaction Manager will specifically focus on strategic planning, Real Estate Delivery, and client management. The Transaction Manager will work closely with the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Regional Business Service Officers (RBSO's) and Divisional Business Services Officers (DBSO's) to foster partnerships in project planning and real estate deliver. Additionally, the Transaction Manager will work closely with the global real estate team to centrally manage real estate information and maintain real estate compliance and process.
Skills Required
• Bachelor's degree required. Masters degree a plus
• 10 to 15 years experience working in corporate real estate. Financial Services experience a plus
• Ability to utilize and read financial models
• Transaction management, property management, negotiating skills, and customer management experience essential
• Thorough working knowledge of finance (Net Present Value, IRR, PL Impact, book vs. Tax)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and build consensus in a collaborative environment
• Strong client service orientation
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced high volume environment
• Goal and process oriented
• Self directed with a strong initiative to achieve results
• Well organized and detailed oriented
• Strong planning, organization and time management skills
• Ability to read architectural and space planning drawings
• Ability to react to changing business needs and facilitate change as needed
• Broker license highly desirable
