Receptionist Job in Pittsburgh 15222, Pennsylvania US

Schneider Downs, the largest Pittsburgh-based accounting and business advisory firm, has an immediate need for a Receptionist.  Duties include, but are not limited to, greeting all visitors, handling incoming telephone calls, and managing conference room reservations, including coordinating audio/visual needs and caterers.  Dependability, reliability/punctuality, and hospitable personality will be keys to success in this position.  As the first point of contact for visitors, professional appearance is required. 

 

This position also works closely with our Office Services department and team of Administrative Assistants, providing some back-up support as needed.  As such, candidate must be detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment.  Candidate should be a self-starter and resourceful to contribute to team effort.  Strong PC/software skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a plus), superior written/verbal communication and organizational skills, and a professional demeanor are required as you will interact with persons at all levels within the organization, industry, and community.  Prior professional service firm experience a definite plus. 

 

This is not an entry level position; a minimum of three-plus years of related office experience is required.  We are seeking a “career” Receptionist as the position will most likely NOT be a stepping stone for promotions. 

 

This position offers a great work environment.  Work hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with an hour lunch and two fifteen-minute breaks.  We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package including the following benefits, which are available on the first day of employment with Schneider Downs: medical (including vision), dental, flexible spending plan (medical and dependent care), transportation fringe benefit plan, firm-provided disability and life/ADD products, 401(k), paid holidays, and paid time off.  Position will be salaried, with any overtime paid at time and a half rate, in excess of 40 hours worked per week.
