Reconciliations Project Analyst recruitment
Business Area: Global Technology and Operations
The role is required to support a small project team to prove out the completeness and existence of bank accounts for material UK legal entities. The role involves reconciling three data sources/populations: General ledger to reconciliation platforms to the internal ‘golden source’ database of open bank and stock accounts. Currently 24 legal entities in scope
Key skills / Requirements
• Able to consolidate and maintain information from a variety of sources and maintain an appropriate audit trail of information sources and decisions that need to be made
• Ability to liaise with individuals at all levels and in different regions to follow up on open exceptions and reconciling items. Ability to drive open issues through to resolution in tight timeframes
• Able to gain quick understanding of different reconciliation systems within different entities and how this may map to the bank account repository and the general ledger.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to build networks and work across lines of business
• Ability to work independently to take forwards sections of work
• An individual who has previous experience of data cleanup/ following up on exceptions would be ideal. In some cases it may not be obvious which person or department needs to action the open item. An individual who can work through data and utilise relationships to be able to identify the correct owner is essential.
Essential IT Skills
- Advanced/ Strong Excel Skills (Pivot tablets, Macros, V-lookups)
- Ability to be able to use different reconciliation systems
