Overview: 

This role is responsible for partnering with hiring managers to anticipate and coordinate full life-cycle recruitment efforts in order to hire the most qualified and effective candidates for Sylvan Learning Center corporate job openings.

As a successful Recruiter you will:

* Meet one-on-one with hiring managers to determine the job specifications, job duties, and the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.

* Source candidates; research and maintain a network of effective recruiting contacts to assist in sourcing qualified candidates and maintaining a diverse workforce; serve as liaison between hiring managers and staffing/employment agencies and/or outside recruiters.

* Research and identify qualified candidate pool resources including trade associations, related job boards, niche job web sites and professional business organizations

* Write advertisements for external publications, media, and announcements and work closely with various sources to ensure an adequate pipeline of qualified candidates; reconcile recruitment invoices; write advertisements for internal job postings on InsideEducate and other internet recruiting sites.

* Manage the coordination and participation of job fairs; research and coordinate local job fairs for open positions; establish and maintain on-going relationships with contacts for college recruitment.

* Screen resumes to determine potentially qualified applicants to forward to hiring managers; phone screen selected applicants to determine further who may be qualified for the vacancy; schedule interviews.

* Interview candidates to obtain information regarding work history, education, training, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and salary requirements; provides information to applicants about the company, the position and benefits.

* Assist hiring manager in completing reference checks.

We Require:

* Bachelors degree in related field required.

* 3-5 years previous experience in high volume, fast paced recruiting environment.

* High level of discretion for confidential work and information; ability to appropriately handle critical information and sensitive situations.

* Strong interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external contacts; ability to work as an effective team member.

* Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and shift priorities simultaneously.

* Excellent organization and time management skills.

* Cooperative and service-oriented attitude; must be able to work under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor; must have high sense of urgency.

* High level of initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision.

* Superior verbal and written communications skills.

* Strong computer aptitude, including experience with an ATS or HRIS database, word processing and spreadsheet software.
