The Recruiter is responsible for the planning, development, evaluation, implementation and execution of recruitment strategy for the corporate office and store line positions. The position will partner with the Vice President, Corporate Human Resources, to prioritize open positions and advertising strategy. Primary responsibilities will be sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates for all areas in the corporate office, new store openings, and the internship program.
Responsibilities:
- Attract qualified candidates for corporate positions through online job postings, social media sourcing, industry contacts and other resources
- Interview and assist department heads in the selection of qualified candidates to fill open positions
- Spearhead initiatives to create pool of passive candidates, including managing the LinkedIn recruiter account and running searches on Monster and within previous candidate files
- Make recommendations on continuous improvement efforts and track effectiveness of sourcing methods, cost per hire, budgets, etc.
- Prepare new hire information including reference checks and employment verifications prior to extending the offer to candidates
- Partner with Human Resources Assistant to ensure proper correspondence is sent to all applicants throughout the recruiting process
- Work with recruiting team to create and maintain applicant tracking system
- Revise and update the Open to Hire Report on a weekly basis
- Lead all aspects of the fall, spring and summer internship program, including enforcing and refining policies and articulating program requirements
- Manage on-boarding process and feedback evaluations for all interns
- Work with Human Resources Assistant to act as contact for participating interns’ required school evaluations, site visits and credit requirements
- Schedule and lead training sessions during the internship programs and other development programs
- Coach and counsel interns on policy and procedures
- Develop relationships with the local college career centers in order to source candidates
- Maintain database of intern evaluations to create pipeline for future openings
- Aid in temporary staffing needs for corporate and Lyndhurst offices, assuring proper paperwork is completed prior to filling temporary positions and invoices are submitted to Accounting in a timely manner
- Maintain advertising expenses and make suggestions for future advertising efforts
- Maintain corporate office seating chart
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience with 5+ recruiting experience
- Knowledge of recruitment and selection practices
- Familiarity with retail organizations, particularly in the luxury market, a plus
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of comfort in pitching, negotiating, and offering feedback
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities in fast-paced, multi-task environment
