Regional Account Manager Job in Buffalo, New York US

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Director of Sales, the Regional Account Manager will be responsible for driving the marketing strategy defined in Company’s long range planning.  The Regional Account Manager must also concentrate in managing the territory efficiently by focusing on key customers, growth platforms, and new business development.  The Regional Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of customers. Some of these will require interfacing with other Regional Account Managers and support people to drive business in factories outside the geographic territory.  The Regional Account Manager interfaces with Production, Quality, RD, Inside Sales and accounting to manage the entire relationship. The Regional Account Manager is responsible for the overall success of the territory both in sales, target accounts and new business opportunities. 

Coordinate sales strategies by establishing sales territories, sales forecasts, quotes, quotas, incentives, methods, gap analyses, territory, goals, and advise marketing of key customer and technology trends shared by customers. Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors. Implement actions to increase and promote sales and marketing initiatives. Research, analyze and monitor financial, technological and competitive factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized. Working with the Director of Sales and other management staff, sets quarterly and annual sales goals. Update sales contacts data base on a timely manner by providing visits reports and critical account/contact updates. Manage efficiently travel budgets and expense reports. Review business results, ensure customer satisfaction, develop strategies for growth and formulate tactics to expand business opportunities. Ensure sales plan is consistent with overall marketing plans for growth. Develop and maintain the overall marketing communications strategy for all products and/or services including suggestions for trade shows, conferences, advertising, product information, etc. Evaluate and implement rep network to reach new territories or niche market segments. 
 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires education generally equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 2 plus years hands on experience in the field (as a customer, supplier or independent position using the products.
