Regional Area Director - Account Management (Stockton, CA)

Kaiser Permanente Regional Area Director - Account Management Stockton, CA This position leads the Service Area Mid-Large Group existing sales team to achieve membership margin targets the local existing sales team to execute established mid-large group strategy. In this role, coordinates the efforts of the entire geographically-bases Sales Account Management team to achieve Service Area membership margin targets. In addition, it leads a Service Area market planning process, engaging collaborating w/ Service Area Health Plan/Hospitals Medical Group leadership, representing Sales Account Management in the Service Area, building confidence in our capabilities and performance. Essential Functions: - Leads the mid-large existing sales team to execute established mid-large group strategy - Leads a Service Area market planning process in collaboration w/ local Health Plan/Hospitals Medical Group leadership - Positions the organization by building external relationships w/ key customers channels - Collaborates on the development of account-specific strategies on key accounts, w/ the strategic accounts business line leadership executive account managers - Uses business line expertise market intelligence to provide input to mid-large business line strategy - Provides direction hold staff accountable for book of business membership margin targets - Identifies resources needed for the sales team to achieve organizational performance goals - Conducts activities that enable staff to manage change successfully - Leads a Service Area Business Line planning process w/ the locally based Business Line staffs - Uses consistent enterprise-wide practices to hire the right people provides consistent orientation - Creates models a coaching culture that supports continuous growth development at all levels - Coaches develops staffs using enterprise models tools that enable continuous growth development - Develops individual career paths leadership opportunities for staff - Evaluates provides substantial performance review input on all staff in the office - Provides administrative management for geographically based cross-functional team - Influences peers decisions makers from other business lines to enhance processes systems to meet customer needs - Provides overall direction coordination of support resources for all Sales Account Management housed working in their geographic area of responsibility - Acts as a vocal advocate for all Sales Account Management staff in their geographic area to ensure they are provided w/ the tools resources required to effectively perform their jobs - Forms cross-functional teams of Sales Account Management staff in their area to accomplish initiatives/goals that cut across business lines - Develops leverages partnership w/ Medical Group the delivery system - Leads ongoing effort to educate, inform, influence Service Area Medical Group operations leadership about the marketplace making Kaiser Permanente successful - Leads a Service Area market planning process engaging collaborating w/ Medical Group Service Area leadership - Builds confidence of Service Area leadership in the direction, competence, performance of the Sales Account Management organization - Coordinates the interactions of all Sales Account Management staff in the Service Area w/ Service Area leadership - Orchestrates the involvement of Service Area Medical Group operations leadership w/ key purchasers brokers Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - 5-7 years of sales management and broker business development experience in the health care industry - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent years of related professional experience - Master's degree or evidence of ongoing educational development highly preferred - Life license required or ability to obtain one within 120 days of hire date - Must possess and successfully demonstrate the required competencies of business acumen, strategic thinking, negotiation, influence, coaching, problem solving and consultative selling skills
