Our client is a leading International Insurance and Asset Management Group with a prestigious brand in Asia. To further penetrate into existing markets and expand into new area, the firm is looking to strengthen its partnership distribution network and relationship and is seeking a fluent Mandarin speaker to join as Regional Director for the Bancassurance business, based in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Regional Head of Partnerships, you will have regional business and relationship management responsibilities for the key Bancassurance partnership and be the account manager and subject matter expert focusing on strengthening the partnership relationship, strategies and sales. You will establish and drive strategic agenda and deliver business plans for the partnership requiring you to prepare, approve, manage and execute business plans for each market in the Asia region. In addition, you will review and analyse performance, identify areas for improvement, set KPIs, design action plans to improve performance and set / manage incentive and bonus programs as required. Working with the bank partner, you will identify new business opportunities, new markets, new customer segments, new distribution channels and new products. A key part of business development would be to further penetrate into the China and Taiwan markets building up from the existing bank's network.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- A university degree
- Minimum 10 - 15 years experience in relationship management, business development, channel management and / or sales management gained from Insurance or Banking sector
- Exposure to China and / or Taiwan markets would be highly preferred, other regional exposure would be beneficial
- Good insurance business / products knowledge
- Excellent communicator with fluency in English and Mandarin is a must
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the Asia region (especially China and Taiwan)
