This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Corporate Banking business development team. As a Regional Business Development Director, reporting directly into the National Head of Business Development you will be responsible for launching Business Development initiatives into the distribution channels (i.e. Regional Centres, Large Corporates) and ensuring that the projected new to bank customers, full banking relationships and income objectives are delivered via the relationship teams
As a Regional Business Development Director your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Communication Influencing - The ability to ensure a clear and consistent message is cascaded internally and externally.
- Delivering Through Others - Motivating and Managing Relationship Managers/Regional Directors to ensure Business Development targets are met.
- Entrepreneurialism - Create national and local solutions/relationships that support delivery of sector driven approach.
As a Regional Business Development Director your main responsibilities will involve:
- Helping to scope new sector propositions for local markets.
- Working with Product Partners and Risk to ensure a unified approach.
- Setting out strategic and tactical Business Development objectives at unit level and ensuring follow up, support and monitoring.
- Budgetary responsibility for Sections cost centre and management of direct reports
To succeed in this role, you will have proven senior experience in Corporate and Commercial business, an in-depth knowledge and understanding of knowledge of the regional business, the industries, companies, essential players and bodies to initiate business development initiatives You will show the ability to build relationships within the local markets and general market knowledge to set the strategy and vision of the business development initiatives with highest potential within the local market. With strong organisational and planning skills and effective prioritisation of deadlines, you will be able to push change, demonstrating drive in continuously seeking ways to improve on existing processes and add value to the business. The ability to work under pressure with excellent time management skills is also essential.
