Regional Compliance Manager, Global Private Bank, DIFC, UAE recruitment

Our client is one of the world’s largest wealth managers with global AUM of $150bn and offices in over 25 Countries. The business unit focuses on serving the investment needs of ultra high net worth individuals in the Asia Pacific region

Overview of the role:

Due to our clients continued expansion in the region we are looking for a regional compliance manager. Working in a team environment you will be responsible for compliance matters in the MENA region for this top tier private bank.

Duties:

• Review all the existing compliance controls for the current businesses to ensure that current controls address all current regulatory requirements.

• Help to devise and implement a regional compliance framework that addresses all associated rules and regulations that will govern the private banks operations

• Apply and provide advice locally on all global compliance policies applicable to the regional businesses

• Conduct appropriate compliance monitoring activities to address regional regulatory requirements and work with the relevant compliance monitoring and surveillance teams to implement and support the monitoring programme as per our client’s global framework

• Deliver all compliance training on all regional regulations

Experience:

• Compliance experience in the middle east for a major financial services company

• Practical understanding of regional regulatory requirements

• Thorough understanding and knowledge of Private Banking and investment products

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop good working relationships with senior Management

• Ability to apply governance and control experience in the assessment and approval of new accounts and other AML/KYC related matters.

• A sound understanding of the importance of good governance and internal controls

• Ability to understand business processes and identify areas for improvements from governance and control perspective

• Ability to contribute to developing and promoting a strong Compliance culture and risk within product, sales and service /other support units.

• Able to deliver effective training on a range of regulatory topics

As the compliance manager you will support all regional compliance issue for the private bank

Overview of the role:

The role of the Internal Communications Manager is to develop and implement internal communication programs for bank across the MENA region in order to develop and sustain an engaged workforce. The role holder will cover internal communications for all business units including investment banking, private banking, corporate banking and retail.

Duties:

• Work closely with the Vice President, Corporate Communications to develop internal communication strategies, work-plans, messages and activities

• Ensure clarity and consistency in all forms of internal communication

• Detailed understanding of the banking and financial services industry, in order to implement effective internal communication campaigns

• Build employee understanding of regional activities within the bank and all of the business units

• Work closely with internal MENA Marketing, Events, Sponsorship and Media Relations

• to develop internal communications strategies and work-plans

• Ensure that the brand values and visual identity are incorporated into all communications

• Develop and manage internal communication tactics and tools, materials and events to develop and sustain an engaged workforce via understanding of and support for the Barclays vision,mission, strategy, business objectives and company values

• Create and implement a variety of employee communication channels as well as multiple ‘safe’ feedback and upward communication vehicles

• Liaise with other global offices to ensure that MENA internal communication programs are aligned with global internal communication efforts

• Develop relationships with third party suppliers for the delivery of internal communication tactics and tools where appropriate

Experience:
