Regional Director

  1. Provide overall supervision and counsel to Professional Services staff.
  2. Manage the Recruiting Managers in the area of recruitment, selection, compensation, training and evaluation of regular Manpower staff.
  3. Implement and monitor the Corporate Service Standards, including the Quality Performance Program, for all services offered.
  4. Provide overall direction, through management of staff, for the recruitment and retention of contract employees.
  5. Develop, implement, and manage a detailed business development program of personal sales calls, telephone sales, direct mail, office administration and public relations for assigned territory.
  6. Prepare a yearly forecast of projected sales, gross profit and net profit (included in the plan is a budget outlining all expenses necessary to achieve the desired net operating profit).
  7. Oversee bill/pay structure to ensure a proper gross profit level in each office.
  8. Determine customer credit extensions with assistance from the Corporate Credit Department.
  9. Implement corporate collection policies and procedures.
  10. Review and analyze all financial and general management reports, e.g., financial statements, gross profit flash-reports, sales analysis, accounts receivable aged reports, etc.
  11. Prepare various periodic reports to corporate management on area activities and forecasts.
  12. Conduct regular permanent staff meetings to ensure good communication within the local organization.
  13. Inform employees of Manpower's strategies, objectives and results locally, regionally and nationally.

The Regional Director Professional Services is responsible for the effective management and profitable operation of Profit Centers within an assigned territory. This includes overall responsibility for:

  1. achieving profit results consistent with predetermined forecast/expectations
  2. effectively managing the recruitment, training, development and compensation of regular staff
  3. implementing, monitoring and managing the Corporate Service Standards, including the Quality Performance Program, and
  4. implementing, monitoring and managing a consistent business development program within an assigned territory to achieve predetermined expectations.

Bachelor degree is required. Five plus years experience in business development in a service industry, or experience in Human Resources.  Three plus years experience in management with responsibility for managing people and/or special projects.  Experience as a Branch Manager or Recruiting Manager within Manpower is preferred.

Proven ability to analyze, plan and synthesize information into an overall strategy. Ability to utilize informal lines of authority to advise, counsel, guide and develop (i.e., through coaching, training, etc.) branch managers and their direct hire staff. Superior influencing and negotiation skills. Project management expertise. Excellent communication, presentation, follow-up and interpersonal skills. Travel to potential/existing client locations as required.  Must have a valid driver's license.
