As a warehouse manager, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing the day to day warehouse related activities and ensuring all resources are ready for current and future requirements. This position is responsible for logistics management, including but not limited to building and maintaining relationships with freight companies. Other responsibilities include creating and maintaining procedures, and assures consistent, organized compliance in packaging and shipping, material receiving, storage and bin maintenance, cycle counting, material movement; resource management; determining and scheduling priorities for all departmental resources; maintaining departmental budget; and setting specific safety, quality and productivity goals for the warehouse department functions: and tracking / measuring performance.
In addition, this is a position where you will have the opportunity to take our warehouse operation to the next level. We are seeking to reorganize the locations of our raw materials and position them in the most efficient manner for our picking needs. We are currently looking to implement a bar coding system through the entire warehouse. The new hire will be driving this effort as well as assisting us in the implementation of a WMS system to manage our operation.
