Reporting to the CIO, your main role is to provide support on the analysis and management of assets for private and institutional clients, across the spectrum of equities, fixed income, currencies and commodity related investments in the region. Daily responsibility involves developing a clear macro-economic framework for the analysis of countries in the Asian includes Japan region; analyzing all macro-economic data and events across all countries; formulating opinions and as well as presenting the macro-economic view for each country to the clients, salespeople and relationship managers in the company, and be able to defend these opinions.
To qualify, you must be a well-respected economist with over 5 years of continuous experience covering Asian (includes Japan) markets, either on the buy or sell side firm. You must have a mindset of working effectively independently to analyze market and economic data and an ability to create presentations to outline and support your economic views taken on Asia.
