Global Technology Production Management Specialist/AVP Regional Governance Lead

 

Reporting to the Head of Governance, Production Readiness, Transition, GT Production, GT the Regional Governance Leads are new positions created in line with Deutsche Bank’s strategy to deliver an enterprise wide production management organisation. GT Production will include both applications development and infrastructure technology groups supporting all of the Bank’s business lines; Global Markets, Transaction Banking, Wealth Management, Private Clients and Asset Management. A critical and highly visible role in their area of responsibility the Regional Governance Leads will be part of the broader Production Readiness leadership team.

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Implement and own the governance framework within which the Production Readiness function will be operated and managed, ensuring all governance requirements for their region are met via the appropriate processes.

·         Ensure the availability and transparency of key performance indicators (KPI’s) and metrics that enable informed business decisions and measurable improvements.

·         Drive sustainable improvements across all areas of Production Readiness capability, be that People, Process or Tools, towards establishing a world class operation; monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of Production Readiness for their area of responsibility.

·         Be the primary interface for all reporting related activities for Production Readiness in their region, providing understanding and direction to enable improvement and compliance to globally consistent standards. 

·         Develop effective relationships and partnerships with internal and external suppliers to Production Readiness so as to drive improvement to quality of delivery across all aspects of the project management lifecycle and associated frameworks. 

·         Provide oversight and control of local Production Readiness Operational Risks and Compliance, ensuring transparency and mitigating actions are in place to address any exposures, thus maintaining the integrity of Production Readiness for their area of responsibility.

·         Establish a local continuous improvement forum that ensures delivery of agreed business as usual and strategic improvement initiatives and benefits; leveraging innovation, new products, vendors and changes in business requirements for their region.

·         Direct and participate in growth activities that support overall business objectives and plans and provide a strong understanding and desire to improve operational efficiencies, especially around the local cost of premises, hardware, headcount, licences etc.

·         Provide financial support and governance through a set of well structured initiatives that will need to be established, including the setting of local business management objectives, measures and targets for Production Readiness.

·         Provide service valuation by managing the local aspects of the client relationship, providing new and existing service information; provide transparency of the costs such that Production Readiness and their clients can understand and affect their costs: review and ensure the effectiveness of the local financial, analytical and commercial client payment allocation models.

 

Skills

 

Have an understanding of service validation and testing (functional, non-functional, regression and UAT testing) processes.

·         Possess broad cross product, application and development experience across front, middle and back office functions.

·         Good understanding of governing service management frameworks and methodologies; well versed with ITIL v3.

·         Good financial analysis and interpretation skills.

·         Exposure to managing local budgets within a technology environment.

·         Business acumen and commercial awareness: understand strategic business objectives and be motivated by the application of technology and process change to deliver business value.

·         Excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate and sell a vision as well as deliver group presentations.

·         Commercial awareness with an understanding of business issues and results that deliver tangible outcomes.

·         Ability to champion and implement the global vision and strategy in green field situations.

·         Ability to champion large scale enterprise change and transformational initiatives that require organisational and behavioural change in their local area of responsibility.

·         Leadership: show desire for leading innovation within their local organisation, delivering through influence.

·         Influencing stakeholder engagement – experience of selling ideas to secure buy-in and overcoming resistance. Able to motivate, influence and win hearts and minds at appropriate levels across a broad client base.
